What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a plumbing technician with a passion for commercial service and a commitment to delivering quality work.
What You'll Do:
As a Plumbing Technician, you'll be responsible for: Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. Diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues like leaks and blockages. Cutting, threading, and assembling pipes using methods like welding, soldering, or gluing. Reading and interpreting blueprints to plan installations and repairs. Ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and safety regulations. Collaborating with other trades (e.g., electricians, HVAC technicians) on larger projects. Responding to emergency calls and providing timely, effective solutions. Communicating with clients to explain repairs, address inquiries, and ensure satisfaction. Recommending and performing preventive maintenance to avoid future issues.
Education & Licensing:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience & Skills:
At least 2 years of practical plumbing experience (commercial experience preferred). Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with local plumbing codes and regulations, with a willingness to learn. Comfort with using hand and power tools.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license for travel to job sites. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and working in various conditions.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$22.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
