About the role:
We invite service-minded and team-oriented candidates with accounting expertise to apply. The successful candidate has experience with the core functions of finance: accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliation, budgeting, financial reporting, control, and planning. This position will perform CEDR's day-to-day financial activities, produce and present financial reports, prepare, maintain, and monitor budgets, keep accurate financial records, and ensure the integrity of finance operations. This role will also be responsible for the analysis of financial information, identifying and resolving errors, identifying cost-saving opportunities, making recommendations to ensure the continued financial health and integrity of CEDR, and the implementation and maintenance of CEDR's strategic financial plan, as determined by the executive team.
Responsibilities will include:
Posting of transactions and categorizing records utilizing various software, including Quickbooks Online. Maintaining and updating accounting records and files. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data and financial information. Establishing, evaluating, and maintaining effective accounting systems, processes, and infrastructure. Proactively and continuously monitoring finance department activities, processes, and work produced to identify errors and mitigate their impact. Processing and reconciling checks, electronic payments, and bank deposits. Producing, preparing, and presenting various reports to allow for data analysis and to inform the CEO and executive management team. Developing and monitoring budgets. Preparing and maintaining books and ledgers to ensure accuracy and readiness for tax and financial reporting. Running and presenting financial reports. Recommending, developing, and maintaining solutions to business and financial problems. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and making recommendations. Compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by conducting research, filing reports, and advising management on necessary actions.

Are knowledgeable and experienced in accounting practices and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Have progressive experience in accounting roles with 2-4 years of experience. Are skilled at interpreting and analyzing financial reports and data. Are skilled in handling multiple priorities and have the ability to meet deadlines. Posses strong computer skills and technical capabilities and have the ability to learn technology quickly. Always maintain high standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
