You will be a part of team to support the various manufacturing needs of Vuteq NA. To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience, providing a direct link between engineering, maintenance, and production interacting with all parties in order to achieve Continuous Improvement. The Electrical/Mechanical Technician will assist with designing and implementing machine installs, and/or modifications, development of maintenance personnel and support all departments as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with design and manufacturing of new equipment
  • Assist with design and implementation of Kaizen opportunities for machine improvements.
  • Support new Project Management, especially with plumbing of electrical system and PLC units.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Mechanical Apprenticeship program
  • Emergency breakdown support as needed, to which some travel maybe required, repair and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, switchboards, conductors, switches and various electrical fixtures.
  • PM system maintenance - yearly review as required.
  • Utilize and store all equipment properly.
  • Prepare reports and visual presentations as required.
Job Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • Technical degree or applied proven maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalog as necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Ability to seek on-line electronic support if required.
  • Proficient with manual and power tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of specialized or technical field such as programming PLC's (Allen Bradley, Keyence, Omron), robotics (Fanuc, Kawasaki, etc) electrical circuit boards, hydraulics, pneumatic on a wide variety of industrial equipment.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Attention to details and strong eye to detect abnormalities.
  • Professional in presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually or with others.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Candidate must be proactive and show initiative in taking lead on maintenance repairs.
  • Candidate must possess good verbal and communication skills.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel to other locations / states, up to and including international.
  • Candidate must be willing and able to learn new techniques and be able to teach.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with and enforce policies, procedures and practices, especially in regards to safety compliance.
  • Strong work ethic and attendance practices.
Equipment Used:
Personal computers, printers, facsimile, telephone, copy machines, and other commonly used office accessories/equipment. Allen Bradley, Keyence, Omron, controllers, Fanuc, Kawasaki robots. Electrical drawings and any tools associated with equipment installation or repair of industrial equipment
