Automotive Service Advisor Forest Lake Ford Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN Forest Lake Ford is a state-of-the-art automotive dealership, proudly part of a well-established, highly respected, family-owned dealer group with over 40 years of experience. Our brand-new facility opened in July 2024, and we are currently seeking experienced Service Advisors to join our rapidly growing service department. We are looking for dynamic and skilled Service Advisors to join our team and play a key role in the continued success of our dealership.
Job Summary:
The Automotive Service Advisor will be the primary point of contact for customers requiring vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of automotive systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling service appointments, assessing vehicle issues, recommending necessary repairs, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet customers courteously and promptly, providing a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Listen to their concerns and accurately record their vehicle's symptoms or maintenance requirements.
Service Scheduling:
Schedule service appointments and communicate with customers regarding service timelines, pricing estimates, and any additional information required.
Vehicle Inspection:
Perform initial vehicle inspections to identify issues, and consult with technicians to diagnose problems accurately.
Service Recommendations:
Present recommended maintenance and repair services to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Provide detailed explanations of services, including benefits and potential consequences of delaying repairs.
Cost Estimations:
Prepare and review cost estimates for parts, labor, and services, ensuring transparency and accuracy in pricing.
Quality Control:
Oversee and ensure the quality of repair work, conducting final inspections and road tests to verify that issues have been resolved.
Customer Follow-up:
Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles and addressing any questions or concerns.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or a similar role in the automotive industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using automotive service software and computer programs. High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training is a plus.
