$2,000 sign-on bonus!! East End Disability Associates Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). EEDA is hiring full-time LPN.
Shifts:
Full-time, Monday-Friday. Some nights and weekends are included based on program needs.Hourly Rate:
$30/hr.Locations include:
Rocky Point, Wading River, Manorville, Riverhead, Southampton, and Jamesport, NY.Benefits:

Participates in IDT conferences as required. Participates in written nursing plans of care for caseload with RN Supervisor Participates as appropriate in planning and implementation of training of EEDA personnel. Ensure that 1st aid kits are stocked. Check that medications are in the houses weekly. Maintains medical record for caseload. Ensures all medications are stored properly. Checks medication weekly to ensure that medications are in the houses. Prepares monthly MARs and medications. Review medical consults with RN. Ensures medical follow through on all medical appointments, including any new orders and follow up appointments needed. Reviews MAR and medical logs Monthly. Liaison with pharmacy in ensuring medications are provided to residence. Attends monthly nursing meetings. Reviews and completes incident reporting paperwork as needed. Ensures compliance with OPWDD regulations. Act as the liaison with family members regarding medical issues. Weekly communication/report with RN supervisor. Completes monthly meal observations at each residence.Requirements:
High School Diploma and completed LPN course. N.Y. State Licensed Practical Nurse License required. N.Y. State Drivers License preferred. Knowledge of OPWDD Regulations preferred. Experience with ID/DD preferred or equivalent.Summary:
Under supervision of a Registered Nurse a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse, is responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team.
