GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The accounts payable specialist is primarily responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The position enhances the WAC's mission by maintaining orderly and consistent processes and serving as a resource to WAC department managers and vendors. The accounts payable specialist will also monitor invoice activity, work with petty cash, correspond with vendors and assist with any audits that involve accounts payable.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, reviews, and processes invoices using accounts payable system. Performs check runs/ACH payments and keeps accurate corresponding ledger entries. Works with WAC departments and vendors on payment questions and reconciliation. Maintains W9 files and generates Forms 1099 at year-end. Works closely with the CFO and Controller on accounts payable plans and process improvements. Performs daily cash pickups and keeps accurate records for all WAC cash banks. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Two to four years of accounts payable experience. High School diploma or GED; AA degree or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or in a group setting.

Pay range: $28 - $32/hour
