Job Description
Chairside Dental Assistant Mark S Roisman DMD 225 Main Street, Westport, CT 06880 We are looking for a clinical dental assistant to join our single dentist, high quality, high tech, esthetically oriented-practice. We are seeking someone who is experienced with patient interactions, friendly and clinically talented and experienced. Radiology certified and computer capable is a must. Attention to detail and an instinct for cleanliness, proper disinfection and sterilization, is required. Our regular hours are Monday (7am
- 6pm), Tuesday (7am
- 5pm), Wednesday (7am-3pm) and, Thursday (7am
- 5pm).
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures
- Maintain and update patient charts and records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant necessary
- Familiarity with dental management programs
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques
- Proficiency in taking digital dental x-rays (certification a must)
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency in an all digital office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
