Maintenance Technician Location:
Franklin Park, IL Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 (depends on experience)
Shift:
6:30am to 5pm Tuesday to
Friday Requirements:
Resume, Interview, authorization to work in the in the U.S The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mechanical installations and repairs across manufacturing, cleanroom, and facility operations.
Key duties include:
Maintaining and repairing equipment such as pumps, piping distribution systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, tanks, agitators, packaging/conveyor systems, and utility systems (e.g., air compressors, dryers, and chillers). Responding promptly to mechanical breakdowns and ensuring the proper operation of utility equipment. Conducting preventive maintenance, completing work orders, and leading improvement projects. Recording all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Being available for on-call support to address breakdowns and urgent issues outside of normal shifts. Identifying and leading medium-scale Continuous Improvement projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using testing devices and tools for troubleshooting, installing, and repairing motor control circuits, PLC hardware, instrumentation, I/O network cabling, VFDs, and other electrical equipment. Understanding of state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code. Knowledge of NFPA 70E and fundamental electrical safety practices. IBEW membership and/or an electrical license is a plus but not required. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams for electrical installations. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing air diaphragm pumps, conveying/material handling equipment, and instrumentation calibration.

Education:
High school diploma (HS) or GED required. Trade school degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to manually lift up to 45 lbs. Capability to wear a respirator. Physically able to perform tank/vessel entries.
