Antelope Valley Santa Clarita San Fernando Valley San Gabriel Valley San Gabriel Valley East Southwest Southeast The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is the nation's largest regional education agency and supports 80 public school districts and numerous other agencies in ensuring educational excellence for the region's two million preschool and school-age children. Technical Specialist III will assist LACOE with the implementation of the Business Enhancement System Transformation (BEST) Project for 90 Los Angeles County educational agencies (i.e., K-12 School Districts, Community Colleges, Charter Schools). For more information about the BEST Project visit https://www.lacoe.edu/services/technology/best. Job duties include supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) with operational activities in the implementation of BEST, including providing technical training, facilitating communication among BEST stakeholders and district representatives, facilitating change process at districts, analyzing existing workflows, working with districts on configuration and conversion workbooks, and ensuring process compliance. Responsibilities may require working on-site at a school district. Hours Hours are subject to BEST project and districts' need and will vary. Mileage Positions will be required to report to district sites throughout Los Angeles County. Staff assigned to LACOE site and required to travel will be reimbursed for mileage. Staff assigned to a district site will not be reimbursed for mileage. Required Education and Experience One year of automated business systems experience entering, updating, or monitoring data and resolving related issues in Human Resources, Payroll or Accounting is preferred. Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
