  • General Information
  • Senior CNC Mill Machinist
  • Located in Mentor
  • $30•40/hour based on previous experience•2 ^nd^ shift working 3pm-130am Monday thru Friday•Direct Hire opportunity with the company.
As the Senior CNC Machinist you would be responsible for loading programs, setting up vertical and horizontal CNC Mills, and assisting other operators.
  • Duties/Responsibilities
  • Setting up existing production jobs on a variety of machining centers (vertical and horizontal, 3 and 4 axis machines)
  • Finding zero and reference points, setting tool lengths and offsets, locating and fixturing parts, etc
  • Troubleshoot low level issues and maintain production with minimal support
  • Make programming updates as needed and identify/utilize proper tooling to make parts with meet all production and quality specifications
  • Load raw material (bars, sheets, and plate steel) with assistance of overhead crane as needed into equipment
  • Enter programs into controller, verify tooling and offsets, and cycle cutting sequence
  • Review first part and obtain production approval by completing first piece inspection using engineering drawings and inspection reports
  • Use precision measuring gages to inspect finished parts
  • Complete all required documentation.
  • Skills/Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience as a CNC Mill Machinist
  • Conversational programming experience
  • Ability to setup machines and perform offsets
  • Able to read blueprints or other engineering drawings and use precision measurement gages
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Will be subject to other pre-employment screening.
