Job Description

MDM Consultant 1.5 1.5 out of 5 stars Hartford, CT 06120 • Hybrid work Overview We are seeking an experienced IBM Initiate MDM Engineer who has led or supported recent version upgrade efforts of IBM Initiate. This role focuses on ensuring accurate identity resolution, supporting data integration efforts, and maintaining data quality in Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, specifically within healthcare and payer environments. Responsibilities Lead or support IBM Initiate platform upgrades, including planning, testing, execution, and post-upgrade validation. Perform data analysis and profiling to support accurate identity matching and record deduplication. Configure and manage entity resolution rules, blocking strategies, and algorithm tuning. Collaborate with data integration teams to support real-time and batch data flows using HL7, XML, or other formats. Troubleshoot MDM-related issues and work with application and infrastructure teams to resolve them. Conduct impact analysis on downstream systems post-upgrade and ensure all system integrations are validated. Maintain documentation on configuration, deployment, and operational processes.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with IBM Initiate MDM platform (v10.x and above preferred). Proven experience with Initiate upgrade projects, including migration of configurations, database schemas, and performance tuning. Understanding of master data management principles, especially in healthcare (patient/member records). Strong knowledge of identity resolution algorithms, survivorship rules, and probabilistic matching. Experience with SQL, Java, and Web Services (SOAP/REST) integrations.
