Job Description

Low Voltage Technician (Experience preferred) KS Audio Video, Inc Charlotte, NC
  • Facilitates engineering, installation, and integration of Home Theater components including: o Flat panel televisions o HDTV projectors o Distributed/modulated A/V o Whole house integrated A/V o Universal remote controls o RF/wireless control
  • Provides excellent repair service by listening to customer's description of problems; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing problems by replacing and/or upgrading components, and educating customers as necessary.
  • Maintains records by documenting installation, service, and repairs.
  • Obtains required signatures and authentication from customer; collects payments or leaves invoice with responsible representative.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following safe working practices.
  • Responsible for all inventories of materials and supplies.
  • Completes a monthly physical inventory of your truck.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
  • 1-2 years experience preferred in audio/video design, engineering, installation, and repair
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Smart Phone with iPhone or Android OS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid NC Driver's License and able to travel to neighboring states
Low Voltage Technician Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, and climbing on a frequent basis.
Low Voltage Technician Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly exposed to extremes in temperature change, including very hot conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to cramped spaces which require the employee to crouch and/or crawl. To perform this Low Voltage Technician job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
