Refrigeration & Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Pensacola, FL 32507 The Refrigeration & Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for performing the maintenance, troubleshooting, commercial kitchen equipment, and refrigeration systems across Flora-Bama properties. This role requires technical expertise, including refrigeration and electrical components, as well as experience in general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, basic electrical, and property maintenance. The Technician will work under the direction of the Maintenance Foreman or Manager and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all systems function efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall maintenance of Flora-Bama facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, including refrigeration units and food preparation equipment. Assist with preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with HVAC systems and other related equipment. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs or coordinate further support. Assist in general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, basic electrical work, and property upkeep as required. Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to assist with installation, repair, and maintenance tasks. Follow all safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations when performing maintenance tasks. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation of all building systems and timely completion of maintenance requests. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and assist with completing required paperwork related to maintenance tasks. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with HVAC and maintenance standards and technologies.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent. EPA 608 Types 1 & 2 certification required Strong technical knowledge in HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. Proficiency in motor controls and control circuitry are a plus. Must have your own hand tools and manifold gauges. Valid driver's license. Ability to work in warm/hot environments and be on-call and available for weekend hours and some nights. Ability to multitask and take ownership of various maintenance tasks. Effective communication skills with guests, peers, management, and ownership. Ability to lift 50+ pounds, and constant movement including standing for up to 8 consecutive hours, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Intermediate computer skills. Maintenance certifications are a plus
