Shift:
Friday - Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm Shift Perks Paid lunch! Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 Overtime available during weekdays, or additional weekend hours Double time after 44 hours worked Job Functions Verify components with the bill of materials to ensure accuracy. Install electrical components per assembly drawings. Operate a computer terminal to look up Solid Works drawings and models. Wear appropriate safety gear at all times. Maintain control of the tools provided to you and ensure that your company issued toolbox is inventoried daily and locked up when not in use. Maintain a high attention to detail and strive for a "Zero Error Build". In good physical condition, ability to crawl into cabinets and tight spaces. May include awkward positions to gain access for assembly. Positive attitude & Willingness to learn. Has good understanding of hand and power tools. Understands basic principles of mechanical assembly. Understands the difference between zinc and stainless-steel hardware. Knows how to read a tape measure. Takes direction from project leader on assembling products, following procedures, and meeting production goals. Has basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, assembly forms and processes. Follows standard assembly procedures, performs rework, and repair if needed. Has a good understanding of technical documentation, mechanical drawings, bill of materials and operating instructions. Team player that knows how to communicate with other employees in a positive manner. Good coaching and teaching skills. Detail-oriented. Knows how to operate equipment, able to make proper alignments and repairs to products. Can self-inspect mechanical assemblies. Understands the need to stay productive, focused and keep on task and make deadlines. Knows about BIL (basic insulation levels). Knows how to check clearances from phase to phase, phase to ground and barrier to ground in vicinity of an energized parts. Knows bus phasing. Pays attention to mechanical clearances and moving parts. Leads by example. Gives suggestions on ways to improve products or manufacturing processes. Able to correctly complete all relevant paperwork and also follow deadlines. Have good communication with quality control department. Able to apply basic problem-solving skills.Basic Requirements:
Assign tasks accurately and within the timeframe allowed Be flexible with working hours to allow for occasional overtime if the job schedule requires it. Must be self-motivated and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment. Comfortable with the safe use of hand tools and power tools for cutting, drilling, punching, grinding, torquing and fastening. Have the ability to read and understand both mechanical drawings and models. Be neat in appearance and maintain a civil attitude towards your fellow employees. Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds as well as be able to stand for 12 hours during your shift. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Possess a strong safety ethic. Possess basic computer skills. Possess a strong attention to detail. Perform work in a neat and orderly fashion as per specifications and standards that may be unique to SPS Desired Requirements Excellent communication skills.
