Medical Equipment Field Technician 1.3 1.3 out of 5 stars Kissimmee, FL ## Job Overview Medical Equipment Field Technician duties include installation, inspection, and calibration o f neonatal clinical equipment in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and panhandle of Florida areas. Generally may require 2-3 overnights of travel depending on the job location. Collaborative communicator supporting equipment users/clients regarding scheduling, equipment setup, and customer expectations. Maintains a clean and organized work area as well as clean area following completion of work project. Documents and maintains complete records of completed work.. This is an important role that ensures medical equipment functions properly to support patient care. ## Duties
  • Perform installation, inspection, calibration and test medical equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment installation
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff & clients to address equipment-related concerns
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols ## Education Requirements
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent; Associate and/or technical degree or certificate in electro-mechanical or electronic technology systems, preferred ## Experience
  • Requires 2 years of experience in electronic repair, installation, and/or servicing.
  • Requires successful experience interacting with individuals at all levels in a professional manner.
  • Experience working with medical equipment in a hospital and/or clinical environment, preferred.
  • Field technician and/or work travel experience, preferred. ## Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Electro-mechanical experience for installation, theory of operation, and troubleshooting of equipment, required.
  • Experience with medical equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and the applicable codes and standards.
  • Skills in the use of hand tools and materials involved in the installation of technical and/or medical equipment.
  • Skills in properly using electronic test equipment i.e., multi-meter.
  • Collaboratively work as an effective team member demonstrating professional conduct and demeanor in appearance at all times.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively meeting schedule requirements.
  • Strong communication skills of English language, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills in effectively using applications and experience inputting data using Excel, Outlook, Word, PDFs and mobile applications.
