This position is an entry-level electronic repair technician. The general duties consist of inspection, quality check and diagnostics of fiber optic fusion and related equipment, followed by the repairs to diagnosed issues and upgrades. Duties Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to a variety of fusion splicer units Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems determined through devise inspection Maintain documentation of technical support activities each day Perform internal repairs and warranty reviews and cleanings of units Collaborate closely with senior technician to resolve complex issues Qualifications Proven experience in fiber optic equipment or similar position in the fiber optic industry Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical expertise. Basic computer & Microsoft Office skills Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, strong hand motor dexterity to perform repairs in small equipment Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
