Full Job Description Description:
The incumbent will be tasked with operating and maintaining production equipment, assembling products, and ensuring the efficiency of manufacturing processes. This role emphasizes the execution of production tasks with precision, adherence to quality standards, and support of a smooth workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The technician will collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality control teams to facilitate manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to established procedures and specifications. Load and unload materials, adjust machine settings, and monitor equipment performance. Maintain and calibrate equipment regularly. Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to work instructions and blueprints. Monitor production output and ensure adherence to production schedules. Keep precise production records. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure products meet quality standards; identify and report defects. Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or process issues; conduct routine equipment maintenance. Improve processes by identifying optimization areas and working with engineers to implement changes. Maintain accurate logs, quality records, and operational performance reports. Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or certification preferred). 2+ years of experience in extrusion and/or coating operations in a manufacturing environment preferred. Hands on knowledge of industrial machinery, process control, and quality assurance methods. Possess robust troubleshooting abilities and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. Ability to read technical drawings, process sheets, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Effective teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work nights and weekend shifts as needed.
