PC Network Support Specialist (help desk role at non-profit) 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 1776 D Street NW, Washington, DC 20006 The Daughters of the American Revolution, a non-profit membership organization headquartered in Washington , has a full-time opportunity for a PC Network Support Specialist. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to employees. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional that is detail oriented, has strong communication and project management skills, and is looking to expand their job knowledge in a non-profit environment. This individual will be required to be on-site full time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer the computer help desk to resolve end-user software and hardware problems. Track and report problems and analyze resolution statistics to identify trends and other data pertaining to trouble areas. Act as a resource in working with departments or individuals to utilize Microsoft Office 365 platforms to gain efficiencies or automation of services. Install and maintain personal computers and network hardware. Install personal computer applications and network software to support end-user productivity. Maintain the NSDAR membership help desk to answer questions relating to NSDAR-developed software applications and web pages. Develop and maintain all documentation relating to the installation and maintenance of NSDAR personal computers. Maintain an inventory database of personal computers and peripherals.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of previous computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience, preferably in a help desk environment. Previous experience providing customer service required. High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science and/or Information Systems. Will be required to lift and move computer equipment up to 20 lbs. High-level ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Strong attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple deadlines to completion. Strong oral and written communication skills, superior interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
Benefits:
Hiring annual salary range is between $55,000 to $60,000, with the final determination based upon the candidate's overall experience. We offer both annual and sick leave, up to 12 days of each, for your first year of employment. Annual leave will increase on specific employment milestones.
