Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wastewater operations and a commitment to providing excellent service.Job Location:
Will supportAnaheim and Santa Fe Springs, CA Duties:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations. Batch Treat cadmium, nickel, acid chrome and cyanide and manually add chemicals. Monitor and adjust water flow rates, chemical feed rates, and equipment settings. Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to monitor water quality and identify potential issues. • Record data related to water quality, equipment operations, and maintenance activities. Operate heavy machinery and power tools as needed to complete maintenance tasks. Clean and restore damaged equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime. Utilize hand tools to complete routine tasks and repair equipment as needed. Develop and implement procedures to prevent and respond to wastewater spills and other emergencies. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.Qualifications:
Wastewater Operator Certification Program (WWOCP) Grade I High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have experience in wastewater treatment. Familiarity with waste treatment of cadmium, nickel, acid chrome and cyanide Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to operate heavy machinery and power tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to hazardous materials and all-weather conditions. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others. Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces. Proven knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulationsJob Type:
