Summary/Objective:

The Centralized Scheduler will oversee, facilitate and manage scheduling activities across multiple nursing homes and or assisted living facilities to ensure efficient and effective use of resources. This role involves coordinating schedules according to census for all departments within the assigned facilities of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Essential Functions:

Assists in identifying open positions for optimum staffing levels based on census/PPD. Review previous, current and future staffing patterns with center leadership. Reviews staffing requirements/hiring needs. Complies with laws and regulations applicable to position and acts in accordance with all North Shore Healthcare policies, processes and compliance program. Resolving scheduling conflicts. Managing internal staff schedules. Open and timely communication with center leadership. Ensuring all hours are captured in PBJ. Safety Knows and follows center rules Follows center dress and hygiene policies Demonstrates proper use of equipment. Reports equipment needs or repairs Follows center smoking policies Reports and documents any incidents or accidents of residents, staff or visitors to the appropriate center personnel Reports all hazardous conditions/equipment to Supervisor Performs duties, which may include transportation of residents, as assigned in Center Disaster Plan Uses required protective equipment Follows infection control standards, policies and procedures Resident Rights Knows Resident Rights. Helps the residents/patients exercise and/or protect their rights Reports resident/patient complaints to management Maintains confidentiality of resident/patient information HIPAA Follows and adheres to Center's policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information Uses and/or discloses only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks Reports all suspected violation of company's HIPAA policies or procedures to Center Privacy Designee Required Education and Experience High School diploma (or equivalent) Flexible availability Prior experience in scheduling Computer literacy Preferred Education and Experience Accounting proficiency helpful Long term care experience Experience in a fast-paced environment Post-acute care or health care experience preferred

Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office products, preferred.
