Geocon is seeking a dedicated, hard-working, and professional soils technician for a wide variety of public agency and private sector projects throughout the greater Sacramento and Bay Area region. Job Description:

Conduct field observations, sampling, and testing related to soils engineering and earthwork construction: Grading and Earthwork - Heavy Civil Construction Underground Utility Construction and Trench Backfill Soil Stabilization Roadway Construction, Paving Materials Testing / Special Inspections (may require Certifications):

Concrete Masonry Steel Welding Experience/Requirements:

High School Diploma Minimum of 1 year of experience Soil nuclear density gauge certification required (can obtain online) Caltrans certifications preferred but not required International Code Council (ICC) and/or American Concrete Institute (ACI) certifications preferred but not required Valid California driver license, current DMV printout, and truck for use to travel to various sites. Must be able to pass a physical and routine drug tests Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
