Additional Expectations:
The selected candidate must be able to legally operate Class A CDL required equipment/trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions and have a Tanker ( N ) endorsement at the time of hire or within 360 days of hire date. Either possession of a current Commercial Driver's License on the date of hire, OR the N orth Carolina Commercial Driver's License must be obtained through completion of on-the-job training and all requirements mandated by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (Federal Registry 49 CFR 383) within 360 days of the date of hire. Pre-employment drug testing is required for this position. As a condition of employment, a release form (ALCDRG-01) and a background statement (ALCDRG-06) must be completed and signed allowing the N CDOT to check with previous employers for the past three years about controlled substances and alcohol testing. Safety toe footwear is required. Employee is required to furnish a complete set of tools. Offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of NCDOT post offer employment evaluation. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Some state job postings say you can qualify by an "equivalent combination of education and experience."
