Custodial experience Construction HVAC Certification Senior level Boiler License Full Job Description Posting Details The 150 Civil Engineering Flight (150 CEF) provides maintenance and construction support for the NM Air National Guard. The 150 CEF is customer-based organization supporting all units with small to large scale requirements related to federal real property. The 150 CEF provides all HVAC, electrical, structural, janitorial, grounds, environmental and construction to support the ongoing Intel Squadron, RED HORSE squadron, 150 Mission Support Group, 150 Medical Training Group and HC-130J flying missions. Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date. Why does the job exist? This position is responsible for the management, efficient operation and maintenance of multiple building systems and all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within the New Mexico Air National Guard facilities maintained by the 150th Special Operations Wing on Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB). How does it get done? Independently repair, overhaul, maintain and service industrial commercial HVAC systems and refrigeration units. Conduct equipment inspection, diagnose problems and repair of systems. Perform chemical analysis of boiler and feed water, cooling water, condensate makeup, and wastewater heating fixtures and components, piping of various size and type; check digital control equipment and replaces components such as washers, gaskets and filters. Reviews, logs and make visual inspection of facility equipment and controls. Conduct equipment inspection and repairs to HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment. Routinely check equipment operating parameters to detect faulty equipment operation, reporting abnormal conditions or conditions that require repair. Determine needs and implement plans to ensure continuous operation of equipment and systems. Maintains appropriate service and repair records for all Air Guard assigned facilities. Perform, as directed, emergency or abnormal operations necessary for maintaining in service or returning to service, generators, HVAC, boilers, chillers, water treatment systems, and auxiliary plant equipment. Provide training and technical assistance to less experienced employees in the basic care and operation of HVAC systems. Minimum Qualification High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years construction experience to include familiarity with application of building codes and regulations, basic electrical, plumbing, ventilation, maintenance. andor custodial operations; building trade experience. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field andor direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required experience.Employment Requirements Statutory Requirements:

This specific position requires the following: HVAC Certification (MM-3) NM Boiler Operator License (Journeyman Boiler Operator) (BO1) Working Conditions Indoor and Outdoor work, working in confined areas and in all types of weather conditions. Exposure to outside elements. Climbing, bending, standing for extended periods of time. Extensive Walking. Some computer work. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
