About being our Project and Accounting Specialist This full-time position as our Project and Accounting Specialist, you will utilize your skills and expertise coordinating with our corporate office to provide our engineering, survey and construction management teams with billing, payroll, accounts payable and other accounting-related support. This position is available exclusively at the downtown Los Angeles office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Responsibility Highlights for our Project and Accounting Specialist Complete monthly project billing in compliance with client and contract specifications, accurately and in a timely manner Effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding billings, contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services Set up new projects using accounting software according to contract, client, and project manager direction Facilitate payroll processing for both office and union field staff. Requires an understanding of union rules, prevailing wage and certified payroll Facilitate expense and credit card reporting, insuring timely and accurate coding and processing Coordinate the processing and coding of accounts payable Assist with administering contracts from execution to close out Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash Serve as a resource for staff with accounting-related issues or questions for the region Minimum Qualifications to be our Project and Accounting Specialist Minimum of 5 years prior general accounting, administrative or related experience High school diploma or GED Highly organized, detail oriented and able to follow through and complete assigned tasks Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint) with intermediate proficiency in Excel Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external clients and provide quality customer service Preferred Qualifications for our Project and Accounting Specialist Prior experience within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry Knowledge and experience with Deltek Vision accounting software Associate's or bachelor's degree Highlighted Benefits for our Project & Accounting Specialist Enjoy hybrid and flexible work schedules, an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by Psomas!
