Compensation:

Medical Practice Nurse Manager Location:
15700 37 th Ave North, Plymouth, MN 55446 Primary responsibilities: Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, and patient check-in/out. Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, and assist the medical team as needed. Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies. Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment is present, the room is adequately stocked and disinfected. Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directed. Triage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriately. Assist with inventory reports, stocking, and ordering as requested by the supervisor. Demonstrate effective and compassionate communication with patients. Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
Secondary responsibilities:
Assist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient records. Adhere to HIPPA. Communicates schedule changes to the team and assists with rescheduling patients. Manages incoming mail and deliveries when needed.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent, required. Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is required. CPR/BLS, required prior to first day. Minimum of 1 year working in a clinical role. Must have experience working in a patient facing or customer service role. Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, required. Prior experience working in Rheumatology, Immunology, Oncology, or similar environment preferred. Skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as needed. Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, patients and physicians. Must possess computer skills for electronic recordkeeping. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts (medical equipment and machinery). The employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color differentiation, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk and talk, hear and smell. Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. He/she is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to use safety equipment, PPE (personal protective equipment) that may include but not be limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
