This position coordinates repairs & services with external vendors and supports overall operational improvements. Additionally, this role maintains a clean work environment, communicates equipment status to management, and tracks maintenance costs efficiently. Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist in the repair of warehouse equipment, such conveyor belts and forklifts, as well as the periodic movement, upkeep, and replacement of racking Communicate with outside vendors regarding warranty issues or necessary repairs that fall outside the certification level of the technician Ensure that all equipment batteries are watered and maintained per manufacturer recommended maintenance intervals Deliver support to a variety of maintenance projects, operational improvements, and scheduled preventative maintenance on assets and equipment Promote the efficiency of the warehouse yard, including the upkeep and disposal of pallets / skids Operate various pieces of equipment, including forklifts and floor scrubbers Report any forklift issues to leadership promptly to ensure issue resolution, maximize uptime, and ensure a safe work environment Maintain a clean and safe working environment, abiding by all safety protocol such as LOTO, wearing PPE etc. Maintain a log of all preventative and corrective maintenance using our internal systems Make recommendations for repair, rebuild, and replace of key components and equipment as needed Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership. Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals Abide by all company and warehouse policies Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation Physical Requirements Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs. Experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations Education Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; maintenance experience and forklift certification preferred but not required High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience Desired Traits MHE-Perform PM's and repairs on: Crown- PC, PR, SP, SC, RM, and RC Batteries/Chargers Capacity Yard Truck Sweeper/Scrubber Personnel Lifting Equipment OBM-Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on: Racking Repairs Dock assets General building repairs Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
