Job Description:
Structural Components, with offices in MA and CO, is a leader in the telecom industry in the design and installation of cell tower reinforcement as well as cell tower maintenance. We are seeking individuals to fill Civil Field Technician positions. We seek individuals with a strong work ethic and good personality, who enjoy working outdoors. CIVIL Field Tech

  • Job Responsibilities
  • Perform Anchor Rod inspections and Installation of New Guyed Tower Anchors of telecommunication structures.
This requires traveling to and from site and working with a Mini Excavator or assisting a Mini Excavator Operator.
Anchor Rod Inspection Duties:
Surface Preparation:
Clear around anchors using shovels, wire brushes, and grinders for easier inspection.
Measurement & Documentation:
Record measurements with tape measures and digital calipers, taking notes and photos.
Protective Coating:
Apply non-porous epoxy to exposed rods for structural longevity.
Backfilling:
Refill holes while ensuring proper compaction per standards.
Water Mitigation:
Use a trash pump to control groundwater flow when needed.
Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports on inspections, mappings, and completed work.
Team Support:
Assist engineering and service teams with additional on-site tasks as needed.
Anchor Replacement Duties:
Mapping & Planning:
Determine and mark the precise location for the new anchor.
Excavation:
Dig the hole for the new anchor according to specifications.
Rebar Installation:
Assemble and lower rebar cages into the excavated holes.
Anchor Rod Placement:
Position the anchor rod with precision.
Concrete Coordination:
Assist with and schedule concrete pouring.
Inspection Compliance:
Work with 3rd party inspectors for required inspections.
Guy Wire Relocation:
Transfer existing guy wires from the old anchor to the new one.
Site Maintenance:
Restore the site, repair/relocate fencing, and ensure a clean finish.

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking skills and attention to detail are a must.
