Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Operator to join our dynamic team in the petroleum contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers and large and mini excavators (CAT 305-336), to support our operations in building Truck Stops, Convenience Store, and Fuel Centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate skid steer loaders and large and mini excavators to perform tasks such as earthmoving, grading, and loading. Conduct routine maintenance checks and basic repairs on equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while performing site operations. Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of tasks. Monitor site conditions and report any issues or hazards to the supervisor. Assist in the installation and maintenance of petroleum systems and components. Train and supervise junior operators, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus. Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, with a focus on skid steer and excavator operation. Ability to read and interpret site plans and operational manuals. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work in various outdoor conditions and to adapt to flexible work hours and travel.
