  • Full-time Stoney Brook Landscaping and Masonry is currently seeking a foreman for our excavating division.
We are a family owned business, that works on many unique residential projects. We are seeking a candidate that is especially skilled in finish grading, reading plans, handling large boulders and a solid knowledge of residential house lots, start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Safe and proficient operation of heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers and loaders Experience reading plans and specifications, and setting up grade for excavation and grading work Communicate equipment maintenance and repairs with the shop mechanic, ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order Ensuring that projects are completed on schedule Coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed according to specifications Maintaining accurate records of equipment usage Ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are being followed on the job site
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent, such as a GED Prior work experience in heavy equipment operation and/or construction Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively work with crews Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations related to excavation work Proven ability to respond under pressure with professionalism
