Estimated hourly base pay:

If you're a Machine Repairman or Field Service Technician for CNC equipment, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring Machine Repair Technician on 1st shift at our Rock Cut Campus in Loves Park, IL. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic, mechanical & instrumentation systems, including machine centers on our production floor. What You Will Be Doing Repairing CNC production equipment, test stands, robot recoveries, etc. throughout the facility Completing parts exchanges, responding to down machines, etc. Performing mechanical alignments, electrical diagnosis and repair of production equipment (Fanuc controls, Makino, Okuma, Studers) Troubleshooting and repairing, pumps, actuators, high pressure systems, etc. Training members on repair, recovery and alignment operations Troubleshooting equipment on the shop floor throughout the day to ensure production is continued and customer demands are met. Responding to repair requests, down machines, through MPulse system Navigating through email, company database and repair scheduling system to respond to internal and external customers, document production data, order parts and equipment, etc. Using fasteners, electrical wire, motors, pumps, drive assemblies, and purchased machine parts. Routinely uses pressure gages, micrometers, machinist hand tools, ampere probes, digital multimeters, welding equipment, and machine tools (mill, lathe, drill press, etc.) Exertion of 50 pounds of force on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 pounds is required. Work is both indoors and outdoors. Work can be at heights, or in cramped and confined spaces. Chemical Exposure - Exposure to rotating and moving machine components, pressurized vessels/plumbing, chemicals, high temperatures, electricity, and oil. Rotating on call work will be required. Weekend and overtime work with short notice What We Are Looking For High school diploma or equivalent is required Associates degree in an electronic, mechanic or industrial discipline is preferred 10 or more years of experience of machine repair is required Field Service Technician in manufacturing similar to WWD or specific to CNC equipment Previous experience in CNC machine diagnosis and repair and proficient with Fanuc controls is strongly desired This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
