Job Description
Job Title:
- Facilities / Production Equipment Technician
Location:
- Northern, NJ
Shift:
- Monday - Friday, 1st Shift
Pay Range:
- $38 - $45 per hour (based on experience)
Position Summary:
- A leading pharmaceutical organization is seeking a skilled Facilities / Production Equipment Mechanic to support the maintenance and reliability of facility systems and production equipment in a CGMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance and Utilities:
- + Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on facility utility systems including purified water systems, clean steam generators, boilers, chilled water systems, waste systems, and compressed air systems.
Electrical and Controls:
- + Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLC-based controls, and electrical panels.
Production Equipment Maintenance:
- + Provide mechanical and electrical support for manufacturing equipment such as fillers, blister packaging lines, and spray dryers. + Perform equipment changeovers, adjustments, and timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. + Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets operational and compliance standards.
Documentation and Compliance:
- + Accurately document all maintenance activities in accordance with CGMP standards. + Complete and maintain work orders, maintenance logs, calibration records, and inspection documentation. + Support audits and inspections by maintaining thorough and accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- + High school diploma or GED required; technical trade school or related certifications preferred.
Working Conditions:
- + Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks in mechanical and utility spaces. + Work may involve exposure to mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. + Must be able to work independently and follow safety procedures at all times.
