Job Description:
Perform tests on various materials in a construction setting; concrete, asphalt, soil, rebar, and various other construction site related tests and observations. Inspecting and reporting on different aspects of construction projects, including, but not limited to: concrete pours, rebar replacement, pipe replacements, and weld quality inspections. You will be responsible for documenting observations and results of various forms of testing and inspections, communication and data entry skills will be necessary. You will prepare, and maintain project records daily using a tablet. Perform inspections to ensure compliance with state regulations, plans, and proposals related to road work, roadway, or pavement. Notify Superior of any non-conforming work. Assist in field during soil, concrete, and materials testing, and perform lab and onsite testing of construction materials, including but not limited to concrete, soil, and asphalt. Could involve regional travel once fully trained and certified, expenses would be paid including lodging, mileage, a daily per diem for meals, and possible use of company vehicles
Requirements:
High School diploma Preferred; Two year CET, Civil Engineering, Geology Degree or relatable experience and certifications successful completion of drug screen and background check; 10 panel lab tested DS required Clean MVR and valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicles Must be able to handle physical aspect of the job; working outdoors, elements Must be able to work necessary overtime, as well as occasional overnight travel
Preferred Credentials:
ACI Credentials NICET Level 1-4; Asphalt, Soil Nuclear Density Gauge certification Level I, II ODOT/DOT, Aggregate
