Job Type:
Full-time, Hourly (non-exempt) position ($33.00 - $40.00 to start, DOE) Reports to: Branch Manager and/or Service Manager Job Summary The Journeyman Service Technician is responsible for performing highly skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of equipment and systems. This role includes diagnosing complex issues, executing timely repairs, and ensuring that all work adheres to company standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in their trade, possess strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment like hydraulics, diesel, electrical, etc. Handle repairs, rebuilds, and regular maintenance on equipment and parts. Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition. Work independently with little to no supervision. Fill out repair documents and work orders clearly and on time.
Education and Experience Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; basic math skills are essential. 5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment or farm tractor service and repair. Experience with Compact Construction Equipment and/or Compact Tractors is highly desirable. Bobcat Brand experience is a significant advantage.
Licensing:
A valid Class C driver's license is required.
Service Technician Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of heavy equipment systems, including air conditioning, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
System Proficiency:
Familiarity with CDK/PFW Intellidealer or similar systems is preferred. Bilingual (English & Spanish): Strong communication skills in both languages are a plus.
Problem-Solving:
Strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Teamwork & Communication:
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills are critical. Service Technician Physical Requirements
