General Statement of Duties The work of this classification is of routine semi-skilled nature involving responsibility for willing and efficient performance of assigned tasks. An employee in this position will work under the supervision of a Crew Chief who assigns work to be completed. A Lube technician is considered to be in training for one of the skilled trades and is expected to perform tasks of progressively increasing difficulty; this work will be carefully checked during performance and upon completion. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The duties require efficient performance of assigned tasks. May require to be "on call" for emergency overtime. Must complete a 12 month probationary period. Work a minimum 40 hour work week. Duties include, but are not limited to: Oil changes of Village Equipment Replace air filters, fuel filters and transmission filters Rotate tires Mount and balance tires Replace batteries Change headlights, brake lights and emergency lighting Required Qualifications Applicant must possess some experience as a Lube Tech or equivalent related experience. High School diploma or GED equivalency required. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver's License, a CDL Class A is a plus but not required at the time of hire; however, an employee must be eligible to begin the CDL application and training process with 12 months of their date of hire; thereafter, a CDL Class A must be maintained by the employee as a mandatory requirement of the position.

Possess mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Willingness to attend and complete required training classes as directed. Excellent dexterity, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and maintain organization. Must be able to work effectively within a team. Ability to meet the physical demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Required to work outdoors in all temperature and weather conditions. Starting salary is $52,096.44.
