JOB REQUIREMENTS
Description A teammate in this position learns theessential functions of the Driver job including the accurate and timelydistribution of products to various customer locations. The DriverTrainee gains exposure to warehouse and other operational functions aspart of the developmental process of becoming a McLane Driver.
Benefitsyou can count on:
Pay Rate while in training: \$1,200 to \$1,500 perweek.
Pay Rate:
Drivers make between \$94,500 to 104,500 per year.
Dispatch:
3rd shift. Day 1

Essential JobFunctions:
A teammate in this job will train side-by-side with a DriverTrainer to acquire the skills necessary to perform the followingfunctions: Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handlelines to secure. Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with alllocal, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Inspecttractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOTinspection report indicating condition. Operates Driver DeliveryHandheld (DDH), document delivery receipts/product temperatures andexceptions. Inspects trailer to ensure product is secure for undamagedtransport of product. Rides and trains with Driver Trainer oftractor-trailer to various destinations, gaining knowledge of commercialdriving regulations and observing the Driver\'s skill in starting engineproperly, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, andmaneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. Maintaindriver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations,documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.

Assists the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product intocustomer premises. Provides customer service including on-time deliveryof undamaged product, product returns and issuing valid customercredits.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma orGED preferred. Possess a Class A CDL. Be at least 21 years of age. Meeteligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.

Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALLproducts that may be ordered by McLane customers. Read and comprehendlabels, instructions, and bills of lading. Perform mathematicalcalculations to verify quantities of product. Communicate withcustomers, management, and other teammates.
