Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities) Prepare journal entries for cash receipts and post to tenant ledgers. Reconciles general ledger accounts for multiple properties. Create recurring journal entries and adjusting journal entries as needed. Completes bank reconciliations for multiple properties. Creates bank transfers or check requests for cash management. Responsible for loan payments and journal entries. Respond to compliance audit requests. Update all balance sheet schedules on a monthly basis and provide to management as needed. Assists in maintaining and updating financial procedures as needed. Performs data entry. Assists in month end and year end activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assists in audit preparation for multiple companies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Experienced in all aspects of general bookkeeping. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple assignments. Self starter with ability to solve problems with minimal direction/supervision. Ability to work in deadline-driven environments. Experience working with MS Office products with emphasis in Excel and Word. Experience working with automated accounting software packages. Experience working with MRI Software preferred. Experience working in property management accounting preferred Ability to type 40 words a minute and to operate 10-key by touch. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or 2+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and applicable work experience.
