Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical Assistant to join our psychiatric outpatient private practice. Your role would be to work alongside our other medical assistant and support our providers and patients by assisting with clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth and effective patient experience, and helping with the daily operations of our office. We are an outpatient practice of 1 MD, 2 NPS and 3 PAs with front office staff as well as an additional MA already working at the practice.

Responsibilities:

Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, and pulse. Assist with administrative tasks, including prior authorizations, responding to patient messages, calls and refill requests. Documenting patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Help with patient education regarding psychiatric care, medications, and office procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) Medical Assistant certification (required) Behavioral health experience preferred, but not required Any experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy is a major plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred (but not required) Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented and able to manage time effectively. Compassionate, patient, and understanding in a healthcare setting.
