POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Technician is primarily responsible for managing in-house support calls involving technical systems such as servers, network, desktops, laptops, phone system, mobile devices and audio/video systems for Channing House. This includes new resident and staff set-ups, as well as troubleshooting existing hardware issues, operating system, and application issues. The IT Technician will work closely with Helpdesk and Engineers regarding service and project related issues and tasks. Together with the entire team at Channing House, this role contributes to promoting a healthy and vibrant home for our residents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities: 90% of job duties: Diagnose issues and repair hardware and software. Includes disassembly and reassembly of products. Participate in project meetings and technical work sessions with co-workers. Support technician-level related service tickets and projects. Complete detailed reports and documentation of support and projects. Maintain confidentiality of any personal and HIPAA protected information. Provide respectful, patient and supportive assistance to residents and staff. Write routine reports and correspondence. 10% of job duties: On call duties Event setups and other administrative support
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

Years of Related Professional Experience :
Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
Educational/Position Requirements :
High School diploma, GED AA, BA or BS degree. Specialty in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management preferred Equivalent combination of experience and education accepted
Computer/Software/Technical Applications:
Expertise in using a computer and desktop deployment. Expertise in technical support of desktops, server and network technologies. Expertise in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems Minimum 1 year experience with administration of Windows server technologies; Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Groups Minimum 3 years' experience with administration of Microsoft 365 Apple iOS and Android mobile phone support Common local and network printer vendors (HP, Xerox, Ricoh) Knowledge of audio/visual systems Knowledge of phone system administration Knowledge of finance, scheduling, EHR, safety and other software used in a healthcare setting Order processing systems Knowledge of analog phones and troubleshooting
Languages :
Ability to speak and comprehend English the primary language used in the workplace; ability to speak and/or comprehend other languages utilized by clients is a plus.

Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Work Environment:
Generally in an indoor setting. Supervise activities and events outdoors. May be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Position requires ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
