Job Description
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pmResponsibilities Include:
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and materials. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, such as fillings, crowns, implants, dentures, extractions, etc. Ensure the patient's comfort throughout the procedure. Greet and prepare patients for their visit. Explain procedures and answer any questions patients may have. Record and update patient medical histories and personal information. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Perform preliminary assessments, including measuring blood pressure. Schedule patient appointments. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Monitor and order dental supplies and equipment as needed. Ensure the dental operatory is stocked and organized. Follow protocols for infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dental operatory and office. Work closely with the dentist and other dental professionals to ensure a smooth workflow. Assist in training and mentoring new dental assistants or staff members. Provide patients with information on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Educate patients on preventive dental care and maintenance. Be prepared to respond to dental emergencies and provide basic first aid as needed. Stay updated with the latest dental technologies, procedures, and regulations. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities.Benefits:
Medical Dental Vision Short-term and long-term Disability Insurance Life Insurance PTO Holiday Pay Daily bonus opportunities Requirements Registered Dental Assistant in the state of TX is required 3+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant is required Must have reliable transportation Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated surgical and nonsurgical tasks Strong computer skills Denticon is preferred but is not required Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
