Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Robotics Developer in the Financial Services industry. This is a fully remote role, and candidates can be located anywhere. As a Robotics Developer, you will be working on an innovative project to design and implement an automated robot greeter for retail stores. You'll be responsible for the development of software and hardware systems for a humanoid robot, using Python programming and the integration of servos to emulate human emotions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the frontend development team to specify how React code will interface with the Python backend for real-time interactions.
• Develop Python scripts to control X and Y axis servo movements on the robot's head, creating movement patterns to emulate human-like acknowledgments.
• Work on improving the current prototype design, refining and enhancing robot functionality, response, and overall performance.
• Develop precise wiring diagrams to connect servos and ensure seamless hardware integration with the 3D-printed robot framework.
• Participate in testing and debugging hardware/software integration issues to ensure smooth robot operation. Optimize firmware settings for Raspberry Pi and servo control.
• Set up and configure separate servers to operate the robot's control system, including connecting APIs for seamless communication between the Python backend and the React-based frontend.
• Collaborate on the procurement and setup of servo components and Raspberry Pi systems.
• Coordinate with AI and automation teams to ensure movement logic aligns with broader project goals.
• Provide detailed documentation on server setup and how APIs are called locally.
• Test and refine servo movement to achieve realistic and responsive robot behavior. Requirements
• Proven experience in Backend Development, with a focus on Financial Services
• Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies
• Expertise in API Development, including design, implementation, and maintenance
• Strong command of Python and Python Scripting languages
• Familiarity with Robot Framework and the development of Robotic Systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of Robotics and Robotics Software
• Ability to develop applications using React and React.js
• Experience with Servo Drives and Servos, including their integration in robotic systems
• Practical experience in Raspberry Pi in the context of robotics development
• Proficiency in using App Server for building and deploying applications
• Experience in creating Analysis Documentation and Configuration Documentation
• Ability to develop Design Documents and Detailed Design Documents
• Experience in Document Management and Support Documentation
• Capable of creating Technical Design Documents within set deadlines
• Understanding of Robotics Process and its application in financial services
• Experience in developing Automated Scripts and Automation Scripts
• Ability to write Automated Test Scripts and Build Scripts
• Proficiency in creating scripts for various purposes
• Knowledge of Cross-site scripting and its implications
• Experience in writing scripts for various purposes
• Ability to create Wiring Diagrams for robotic systems.
