JOB SUMMARY
Responsibility for various operational duties within the Trust operational area. Primary responsibilities include transfer of securities, pension payments and tax reporting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred Two+ years' banking experience (trust operations experience preferred)
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel) and Trust Accounting Systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Data analysis, problem solving, organizational skills, time management, accuracy, attention to detail and customer service Understanding of financial statements
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensures compliance to bank and trust department policies and procedures. 2. Processes transfer of securities through our custodians (Fidelity and BNY Mellon) for incoming and outgoing transfers. 3. Performs operational maintenance. 4. Provides data and operations support for audits and examinations. 5. Provides as backup to other operational roles within the department. 6. Balances daily to the trust accounting system and the general ledger system. Researches and resolves any out of balance findings. 7. Inputs and maintains pension distribution records. Balances and verifies information for 1099 processing. 8. Researches and sets up new securities on the trust accounting system. 9. Scans and indexes trust documents using the Nautilus system. 10. Maintains written procedures that pertain to job duties. 11. Performs other duties as assigned.
