KING INDUSTRIES JOB DESCRIPTION ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
King Industries, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronic Instrument Technician. In this role, you will perform, repair and install control systems that include, level detectors, PH monitors, thermocouples, precison flow indicators, and pressure indicators. As a Eletronic Instrument Technician at King Industries, you will be a part of the company's maintenance department which already has a staff of one electronic instrument technician.Skills Required:
Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and multiplication). Ability to read and respond to written instructions. Mechanical knowledge and ability, to troubleshoot and repair process equipment. Knowledge of industry accepted methods to repair process controls and control components. Ability to work weekends (at least 2 Saturdays per month).Education and Experience Requirements:
Associates degree desired, or High school diploma. 2-3 years' experience of maintenance and equipment repair. Trade school or letter of recommendation from former employer of experience and abilities will be considered. Understands preventative and predictive maintenance programs andOSHA 1910.119
mechanical integrity requirements. Good knowledge of the process industry and equipment operations, to allow for enhanced process trouble shooting, and failure root cause identification. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform calibration checks on control instrumentation equipment, including low-voltage and pneumatic systems. Remove, repair, and install control devices throughout a chemical processing plant year-round, including work in outdoor areas. Assist in managing the calibration program in support ofISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO
45001, and the Process Safety Management system. Coordinate with production teams to schedule inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance. Ability to work weekends (at least 2 Saturdays per month). Maintain and troubleshoot industrial scales in warehouse and process areas, working in collaboration with the manufacturer. Assist contractors in conducting LEL meter testing in process areas Read and interpret equipment repair manuals for various components. Utilize precision measuring tools such as flukes, micrometers, ultrasonic flow meters, and HART communication devices. Adhere to company safety programs and maintain a safe work environment. Participate in company-wide efforts to promote and adhere to quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental (QHSE) management systems in accordance withISO 9001, ISO
45001, andISO 14001
standards. Maintain an understanding of how deviations from established controls and criteria may impact the QHSE Management Systems.Job Type:
