Summary:
Provide direct patient care in the acute care setting of the emergency department or inpatient area utilizing various nursing skills and established standards of care at the direction of a registered nurse. Qualifications Other information:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Practical Nursing Formal Education approved by the NM Board of Nursing
  • Licensed Practical Nurse-NM
  • BLS required
  • PDS IV Certification course (within orientation period)
  • Basic Cardiac Arrythmias (BCA) for areas where cardiac telemetry monitoring is used (prior to ACLS)
  • ACLS (within 6 months of being hired) for areas where required

  • Licensed Practical Nurse-NM BLS Certification required at time of hire.
