Primary work hours are Monday- Friday from 7:00 am
- 4:00 pm.
PLC, SCADA
systems within the plants and pumping stations Monitors motors, starters, controllers, etc. through SCADA and computer software. Installs new equipment, conduit, wiring, devices, and instrumentation controls as approved by supervisor. Performs periodic calibration and observation checks of meters, recorders, PLCs and other associated equipment Maintains electronic control valves, circuit boards, motor control centers, pumps, motors, and complex instrumentation systems. Calibrates, cleans, and maintains in-situ process instrumentation (i.e., dissolved oxygen monitors) and adjusts electronic motors Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on all electrical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment. Assists in preparation of related technical equipment specifications and maintains inventory of spare parts on hand, ordering and testing new equipment, materials, and repair parts where needed Inspects all new additions or changes to electrical/electronic work performed by contractors Participates in and complies with all City and Division safety programs Initiates and fully completes CMMS Work Orders for all work activities to include complete and accurate labor and materials usage. Provides estimates of project time and material costs to Planner/Analyst, oversees requisitions for parts and services, and maintains appropriate recordsTypical Qualifications Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and four years of journey-level electrician experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.Licensing and Certifications:
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire Wastewater Collection System Operator or Biological Wastewater Treatment Operator certification and/or an electrical or other trades licensePreferred Qualifications:
Grade II Maintenance Technologist certification, or the ability to obtain within two (2) years of hireAdditional Information Knowledge of:
