The Department of Human Services (DHS), Clarks Summit State Hospital (CSSH) is seeking a Medical Records Assistant (MRA). As a Medical Records Assistant, you will support patient treatment by auditing medical records for compliance, reviewing medical coding for insurance reimbursement claims, and using spreadsheets to effectively organize and analyze data. You will play a key role in the data entry and data integrity of electronic health records (EHR). This role requires the ability to meet deadlines that require a high degree accuracy, efficiency, and organization. In addition, you will participate in compliance and performance improvement activities, m aintain proficient knowledge of medical coding using current classification systems, and protect sensitive, legally-privileged, and confidential data. + Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week + Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday- Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of clerical experience in a medical records department of a hospital, or ambulatory acute medical care setting or a licensed nursing facility, which has included six months of experience under the general direction or oversight by a registered Medical Records Technician or Administrator; and graduation from high school; or + Graduation from a medical secretarial or medical records program; or + Any equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
