Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for power supplies and personnel protection systems (PPS) Proficient with schematics and electrical/mechanical assembly drawings Troubleshoot electrical systems to diagnose and repair, down to subsystem and component level Cable pulling and cable termination Maintain and implement safety practices and procedures applicable to daily activitiesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A high school diploma or equivalent plus: a BS degree in a technical field OR; a technical institute, Adult BOCES certification, AA degree in a technical field, CCI program completion at BNL plus 4 years€™ experience OR; a technical high school certification program (eg. BOCES) and 5 years relevant work experienceOR:
6 years relevant work experience Experience with fabrication, assembly, wiring, and testing electronic systems Experience with assembly, testing, and adjustment of complex mechanical systems Use of test and measurement equipment, including electrical multi-meter and oscilloscope Experience with electrically powered and pneumatically operated hand tools Troubleshooting skills in digital and analog circuits Strong organization and documentation skills Self-motivated with good workmanship Capable of using Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word, and Excel Strong safety ethic and knowledge of safe work practices in complex systemsPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Continuous walking / standing Must be able to climb a ladder and work at heights up to 10 feet Ability to speak, hear and understand speech Good vision and hand dexterity Will be required to occasionally work off-hours, nights and/or weekends to support mission critical projectsOther Information:
