Heavy Duty Service & Mobile Technician Environmental Equipment Sales and Service LLC North Oxford, MA 01537 Hybrid work EESS is a refuse, recycling, and street maintenance equipment dealer and parts and service supplier serving Ohio, Michigan, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York, and Rhode Island. We are the authorized dealer for Heil garbage trucks, Galbreath roll-offs, Schwarze sweepers, and more. In addition, we offer a complete line of new and used garbage trucks, roll-off's and Heil OEM parts. We are seeking a motivated, skilled heavy-duty truck and equipment Service Technicians and Mobile Service Technicians to work in-house and in the field at customer locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy equipment and vehicles. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs repairs, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and light body modification and up-fitting for vehicles and equipment. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. Ability to interpret schematics and assembly drawings Conducts safety checks on vehicles. Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Good communication skills relative to supervisor & other related departments. Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Ability to lift 50 pounds, plus the physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead. Must have the ability to climb and work from a ladder. Ability to operate a fork lift. Ability to operate various shop tools (saws, drills, fork lifts, etc.) Other duties as assigned.
Education & Requirements:
Required:
a valid driver's license & transportation.
Required:
a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent plus vocational training or job-related course work.
Preferred:
Previous experience in
Refuse Industry/Environment Preferred:
Automotive or other mechanical knowledge Ability to travel with overnight stays. Welding and fabricating experience is a plus. Must have own tools of the trade.
Skills:
Refuse or Equipment repair knowledge is a plus. Mechanic experience

Each technician has one day off during the work week. A clean, safe working environment; Safety Culture with monthly safety meetings/trainings. Company Paid Training:
at least 40 hours per year. Uniforms provided and cleaned. Annual Safety Boot Allowance (up to $250) Annual Tool Allowance (up to $1,000) 401(k) with company match. Hourly pay - not flat rate. Paid Vacation; 1st & 2nd year of service, 80 hours of PTO each year. 3rd & 4th year of service, 120 hours of PTO each year. 5th+ year of service, 160 hours of PTO. Holiday Pay. (Observe 6 federal holidays)
