Description:
The Quality Management System (QMS) specialist position is responsible to support all aspects of QMS and sustainment processes within the plant. This role directly supports the development and deployment of Quality Standards. This individual will maintain interactions between collaborating departments to effectively communicate and execute quality Management system standards. Responsible to execute internal audits, report audit results and support to maintain the plants ISO registration activities including corrective actions, documentation, and record management.
  • Supports all quality actions to support compliance to achieve quality objectives.
  • Accountable for plant Level 1 KPI's elaboration
  • Quality Management System procedures writing and release
  • Audit execution including reports
  • Work with the shop floor based on the results of the self-assessment audits to identify and close gaps.
  • Display effective communication skills to support meetings.
  • Establish partnerships internally to influence without direct authority.
  • Support for applicable plant level ISO-9000/IATF-16949 and or AS9100 certifications.
  • Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results.
  • Manage standard operating procedures for all plant Quality personnel
  • Quantitative KPIs including but not limited to:
  • Customer defect
  • Internal Scrap (Casting/Components)
Internal Plant Indicators:
  • Defects per aircraft per hours rate (DAX)
  • Direct Run Rate (DRR)
  • Certifications and Audits (External and Internal)
AS9100 / ISO 9001, IATF
Requirements:
  • Education level: High school diploma (associate degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing quality experience in aerospace/aviation plant
  • Extensive Quality system knowledge AS9100 (Minimum
ISO 9001 / IATF
Experience)
    Language:
    Verbal and written capability must be high for English language
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
    • Strong presentation, technical writing, and communication skills
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
    • AS9100 knowledge (Minimum

    Experience)
    • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
    Job Types:
    Full-time, Contract Pay:
    $24.74 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
