Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire a COBOL Programmer to support a defense contract. This position can sit remote and will be supporting a team based in Indiana. This candidate will be joining a team responsible for supporting legacy systems critical to our business operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mainframe environments and a strong understanding of COBOL, IDMS, DB2, and related technologies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance core applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL programs in a mainframe environment. Analyze existing code to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Collaborate with analysts, QA testers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions. Create and maintain documentation related to program logic, changes, and updates. Participate in system testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Support batch job processing and ensure successful execution of scheduled tasks.
