A typical day for a Licensing & E-Resources Specialist with FLVC Library Services involves a combination of administrative and strategic tasks related to managing electronic resource licenses and vendor relationships. This includes assisting the Licensing Analyst/Program Manager and/or the Director of E-Resources in the negotiation and management of licensing agreements, working with the Acquisitions and Collections Specialist to support electronic resource usage data initiatives and troubleshoot e-resources access issues, and otherwise collaborating with colleagues and vendors. The day often begins with email communication and vendor interactions, followed by tasks such as contract management, data analysis, and participation in team meetings. The afternoon may involve research or work on special projects. The role requires a balance of technical skills, financial acumen, and effective communication to ensure the availability of electronic resources for educational institutions within the State University System and Florida College System. Depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate, there may be some flexibility within this range.
